Story Behind The Song
The horrible 9/11 attacks on America.
Song Description
Got to work and there was a small TV on a desk with coverage of what appeared to be a plane hitting the north tower. People said it was a horrible accident but minutes later I watched the second plane crash into the south tower. This was no accident. Our office is located close to Midway Airport so there was always a ton of commercial air traffic but suddenly there was none. The only planes in the sky were military jets, big scary looking war machines. As the day went on we learned of the other attacks and I wondered if this was the start of WWIII. Who could do such unthinkable things? As we found out the answer was clear and I began to wonder. How could someone do this to innocent strangers? Kill in God's name? Still in a daze the rest of the idea for the song just kinda happened.

Lyrics
you don't know me, yet you fear me
you kill in God's name
now i stand here, forever stronger
woke from the ashes to fight another day
911 i remember
a bloody red white and blue
the cries have come and i will answer
we stand as one, these colors don't run
i will rise with a mighty sword, to slay the beast from a distant shore
my heart is pure, my aim is true
to fight for the soul of the red, white and blue
911 i remember
a bloody red white and blue
the cries have come and i will answer
we stand as one, these colors don't run
and all my brothers that you murdered
ignite my spirit's flame
you will never destroy me
freedom is my name
Spoken by President George W. Bush
Freedom and fear are at war.
We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail.
