Story Behind The Song

i wrote this song after realising that although my life wasn't exactly where i wanted, i was still able to enjoy some time i was experiencing with a person who i loved deeply. i stayed up all night one night with a couple of friends and watched them go from being embarrassed about singing infront of me to opening up and really going for it while i played guitar for them. they sung all night and i just played. i watched them open up, transform, and i reflected upon that transformation the next day and wrote this song. i needed to change also.

this is a song of yearning. questions about life, for lost love, for lost dreams, the strings arrangement and drum loop made from sounds including, a cigarette lighting, dragging on a cigarette, it is a reflective song that asks uestions about life on a personal level while also asking the big questions about this human experience.
