Story Behind The Song
Love Me
Music and Lyrics by Brant Christopher Menswar and Keith Roberts ©2005
Keith and I originally wrote this song back in 2001. We did a revamp of the lyrics in 2005. A powerful song using a beggar asking for money as a statement about society. How we are so bothered by someone asking for a buck or two?we are just too busy and can?t be bothered. All these unfortunate souls really are asking for is a little love. That?s all. Unconditional love?something that very few of us are capable of. Our producer Sal heard this song and said?this could be a hit. His production on this blew us away. We hope it does the same for you.

Lyrics
Love Me
V.1
Dirty beggar, like a thorn-twist in my side
Living off of sympathy, catching judgment with your eyes
Corporate homicide took the life you left behind?
What is it that you want from me? What do you hope to find?
CHORUS
Love, love me when I?m hungry, love me when I?m poor
Love me when I?m a stranger at your door
Love, love me when I?m ugly, love me when I?m strange
Love me even when I cause you pain
V.2
If its money that you?re looking for, so you can fill your flask
I won?t fund your dependence, so don?t bother to ask
There?s nothing I can give you that would change the shape your in
So I?ll roll up my car window to drown out your violin
CHORUS
Love, love me when I?m dirty, love me when I steal
Love me when my addictions are so real
Love, love me when I?m angry, love me when I?m rude
Love me when you?re not in the mood
TAG
Love, love me without question, love me like were friends
Love me like you knew it was the end
