Story Behind The Song
I wrote the music and performed it for the first time at the memorial service of my friend's daughter and grandchild who were murdered in an act of Domestic Violence. It brings peace and love to those who have children who have passed on.

Lyrics
A RIBBON OF STARS
Last night I dreamed of an angel,
With a ribbon of stars in her hair,
Who running late one morning,
Had tied it without any care.
And as she flew in the cosmos
Through a stretch of empty sky
A ribbon slipped from her golden hair,
And a wispy strand brushed her eye.
While waves of hair tumbled down her back,
And across her radiant face,
The angel reached for her ribbon,
But decided to leave it in place.
For her ribbon had wrapped itself
Around a sweep of sky
Holding billions of suns in myriad worlds
To dazzle her wondering eye.
And as she tossed her hair back,
I awoke from this heavenly scene,
I ran to my window,
And gazed out through the screen.
There in the sky was the ribbon
It's worlds light years away
Lighting the dreams of children
Across the Milky Way.
I saw the angel smiling
On each child who played out there -
Each child who laughed and danced and sang
On the ribbon of stars from her hair.
