Story Behind The Song

I had been listening to Thelonious Monk and found an interesting progression on the guitar that was very pretty. I wrote what I thought was the basic melody for the opening progression and it became the opening and closing vamp for the piece. This was my first jazz composition written in the mid 1980's.
