Story Behind The Song
I took a small group of children to the library one Saturday afternoon. There was a children's book there about Mother Nature ( "Mother Nature tells the wind to blow. Mother Nature tells the grass to grow.") This got me to thinking...Mother Nature must get tired of managing earth.
Song Description
This song strings together a list of events in which Mother Nature is reconciling, diciplining, and counceling nature and the elements. What she really wishes to do is go to heaven (if only it wasn't so full) , wear black to attract no attention, and take some time off.

Lyrics
Mother Nature
Mr. Sunshine, Mr. Rain
All the old lines sound the same
In the garden you can play
But everywhere else you stay by yourselves
?you stay at my house
But I?m no go-between
For the sunshine and the rain
Mr. Winter, Mrs. Spring
Let your children dance and sing
With a father that kills everything
You need a mother who?ll bring you around
?not having melt downs
But I?m no go-between
For the winter and the spring
Little Twilight, Midnight Blue
Kiss the stars that you shine through
No ones more beautiful than you two
But in the night sky you hold all the stars
?you horde all the light
and I?m no go-between
Night and Daylight, King and Queen
Hello Atlas, go on home
Leave this filthy mess alone
I wish heaven wasn?t so full
I?d go and live there and lose all my cares
?I?d wear black and throw the green out
But I?m no go-between
Mother Nature doesn?t want to be seen
I?m no go-between
Mother Nature doesn?t want to be seen.
