Story Behind The Song
The Chickadee's Song was unofficially first titled "the bird song." When Denise began writing it, she used the two-note warbling she was hearing outside her window (in the Twin Cities, MN suburb.) After moving to Western WI, she finished the song and spontaneously combined the song with Red River Valley. The two note warbling or ?fee bee? whistle is a bird call of the chickadee, found through North America.
Song Description
Instrumental guitar & piano meld together in a seamless duet of an original Denise B composition, The Chickadee?s Song, and a traditional folk song, Red River Valley. The mood moves from a quiet, calm pace to a more rhythmic segment, and finishes with the melancholy sound of classical guitar.
