Story Behind The Song
As I sat on my Mother's front porch early on a Summer's afternoon; I saw my neighbor doing her daughter's hair on their porch across the street. As the Mother (Katie) was doing the older daughter's hair, the younger daughter began messing up the Mother's hair. The older daughter began getting upset , but Katie said it was alright, she's not hurting anything. This brought me to a moral matter how people shouldn't make big deals out of minor things and occurences.

Lyrics
Be Yourself
written & copyright by
Warren Crowell
I see---
That You're tripping out over others
Personality
I can tell
You're not scared to reach up for
What you want from the shelf
(Chorus)
Be Yourself
Be Yourself
Be Yourself
Be Yourself
Now 'cause Katie acts simply
As if she could care less
Of whom messes up her hair
You might be ecstatic
To see something like that
But you shouldn't even care
It's her hair
It's her hair
It's her hair
It's her hair
(Chorus)
Be Yourself
Be Yourself
Be Yourself
Be Yourself
I will mention in closing
When you're all grown up whenever
And you character permitting
Tells you business is as
Business is
You'll be up on that shelf
You'll be up on that shelf
You'll be up on that shelf
Be yourself
(Chorus)
Be Yourself
Be Yourself
Be Yourself
Be Yourself
(Music to end)
