Story Behind The Song
I originally wrote it as an instrumental..jazz/ swing style. But then added some quirky lyrics. Farmer giles is english rhyming slang for "piles".
Thanks for listening. :)

Lyrics
Postman Giles
Postman Giles, he had piles
He used to walk for miles and miles
But now it ain't no fun
It's just a pain in the bum
Postman Giles, got so sick and tired
He couldn't do his job, so he got fired
And now he's all out of work
But his backside still hurts
Well he tried potions and hundreds of lotions
But nothing did the trick
They just made him sick, sick, sick.
But he still sings, La,la la - la,la,la,la
la,la,la,la- la,la.
Ooh, la,la,la
Ooh, la,la,la.
He tried potions and hundreds of lotions
But nothing seemed to work
He just felt like a b, b, burk
Postman Giles, he found a new vocation
He bought himself a farm, and now he ploughs his twenty acres
In his tractor everyday
And his backside feels ok
Postman Giles, is not a postman anymore
He rides his combine harvester instead of knocking doors
He rides for miles and miles
His face is full of smiles
Now they call him farmer Giles (La,la,la-la,la,la)
Farmer Giles,(La,la,la-la,la,la)
Farmer Giles, (La,la,la-la,la,la)
Farmer Giles (La,la,la-la,la,la) ...EVERYBODY!
REPEAT TWICE
Oh yeah..but he's still got his piles.
