Dan started writing music just a few years ago. He focuses on good as much as he can, and wants to inspire others to do the same. His broad following ranges many ages, and he is thankful to each person who listens. Often told he sounds like Neil Young and sometimes Paul McCartney, his music ranges a number of genres, and he enjoys writing for film and tv licensing, major and independent artists, labels, and publishers, but especially for his fans. He enjoys working with other artists as well, from numerous locations. Dan's hooks, both instrumental and lyrical, flow naturally from him. Easy to remember, they then flow into listeners who want to hear more. He hopes you enjoy his songs and hear them on the radio, in movies, and on TV.

Sounds Like: Neil Young, The Beatles

Inspiration

His music is a hope of inspiration to others to rise above their difficulties so we may show the good we have in each of us.

Dan is honored that you've listened to some of the music he is working on and would like to hear your thoughts. He thanks you for your encouragement and for even the smallest you do to help others in need.

Dan,
Your story is one of remarkable courage, and inspiration. I am deeply moved by what you are doing, and your music is beautiful. There is a wonderful innocence that is priceless. Your statement that music links many different areas of the brain, and even in broken minds is so profoundly true. I have used music to integrate the mind of a multiple personality patient with over thirty separate personalities with great results. I have worked with those with autism, and with brain anomalies and know the power of music and other artistic endeavours. I am so glad I had an opportunity to cross paths with you, and am happy you made yourself known to me in return. Please keep in touch. Your strength and your music is a gift to all who hear it. All the best to you Dan.

So good to hear from you Dan. Sometimes it is hard to define my line of work, as I have held a number of positions over the course of my working life. I have always held steady work to pay the bills, and support my family, but my life work has never provided too much in the way of material wealth. Following a series of traumatic events that began with the brutal murder of my best friend and his family when I was 14 years old, I endeavoured to understand the nature of life, death, and whatever lies beyond the realm of understanding. I am currently writing a book on dear death experiences, and mystical experiences.

I began playing music as a way to express what couldn't be expressed in words, and in the process, ended up working with people with psychological, and physical/neurological issues such as autism, multiple personality disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorder, etc. I have been fortunate to know some truly remarkable people over the course of my life.

I currently work as an audio engineer, and stagehand, along with playing, and recording music whenever I can. I have a family which is most important. Other things I have a deep interest in are wilderness awareness, and survival. I teach classes to both adults, and children on how to survive in the wilderness. Along with this, I serve as a volunteer with a search and rescue team here in Kentucky. My life is rich and full, and I am blessed with remarkable people, and experiences. I battle with post traumatic stress disorder myself so there are bad days sometimes, but through music, the beauty of nature, the wonderful people in my life, and the occasional treasure of a glimpse into the eternal, unfathomable essence of God, for lack of a better term, I manage to live a good life.
I could go on, but I should save some for another day.
Enough about me. Sounds like you are really doing some great things, and building a wonderful foundation for your music. I look forward to listening to more of your music. There is a really unique, special, and beautiful spirit in your work. I look forward to listening to the rest of your posts, and other music you create. I wish you all the best in all you do, and hope you will keep in touch. I am moved by your persistence, and courage to overcome difficulty in your life.
I better close for now, but please do keep in touch, and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Take care,
John

Thanks Dan. I am glad to hear that you are still with us, even though there are challenges for you.
I am very small for my age and have been made fun of all my life. My mom raised me tough, but that song is a way for me to tell everyone it's ok to be different.
Thanks

If you ever are made fun of, realize first that you are far greater in size than those who try to hurt you. Think of how little a mind must be for someone to think they have to hurt others to feel big about themselves. Just looking the other way shows a such greater stature. You have been given talent as well. Use that always to inspire yourself and others whenever possible. Music can do wonders I believe. Follow the good always.
