Song Description

This is a short intro symbolizing the soul's transition from "our world" to the after life. This song was written many years ago, when my grandmother passed away. I used this experience as the inspiration and foundation for the whole CD concept. The image conveyed here is a hospital bed - with the medical staff running around the patient, trying to bring her back to life. I have read many books about near death experiences, and many people claim that there is a silent period when soul leaves the body. In many cases people see their own body on the bed. Right after that experience, people get pulled to a bright light and find themselves at the end of the "tunnel". The final notes in this song represent the soul disappearing into that light.
