Story Behind The Song
Coming from a time when I questioned whether God even heard my prayers. I wrote this song to illustrate my struggle. I felt better just honestly expressing my heart to God, instead of pretending everything was ok.

Lyrics
peace to the wind and the waves by clinton mckinney
here I am broken, like my prayers are going nowhere
am i forsaken have i fallen too far?
in the midst of my confusion, need Your direction
holding on to You, like a lighthouse in a storm
(chorus)
peace to the wind and the waves, calm to the storm in my heart
love to the insecurities, that keep me away? from You
what do You see in me, that keeps me in Your favor
maybe just a little bit? a little bit of You
i?ve been shaken, not much standing ?cept my love for You
my heart cries, my desire is for You (go to chorus)
the depth of Your love is a mystery
i?ve yet to understand, but i believe, oh, i believe?.
that Your love for me?s so deep, that You would send Your Son for me
to save me (go to chorus)
