Luke 14:25-35

1: Here at the point of decision again.
Do I deny my lust, or do I just give in?
Just one small look, is that such a sin?
I seem to be trapped, unable to fight.
But here comes the Spirit to shine Your light.
And I am reminded of what You might say...

This is my cross. I?m climbing this hill.
I?ll deny my flesh, ?cause this is Your will.
Here come the nails, and here is the pain.
Losing my life for the sake of Your name.
These are my eyes. God let me see
much more of You, and much less of me.
These are my ears. God let me hear
Your voice of faith that covers my fear... this is my cross.

2: Sometimes I feel like I just don?t belong,
like a screaming guitar in a lullaby song.
Other people fit in, but I just feel wrong.
We?ve got our opinions. We just don?t agree.
And if this is the church, then don?t count on me.
What kind of response would You have me say?

3: Father, I do want to live in Your light,
from the depths of my soul, with all of my might,
with all of my strength and all of my mind.
So replace all the darkness that?s inside of me.
Come with Your Spirit, and set me free.
I?m not holding back, and here is what I pray...
