Story Behind The Song
For a few years, I spent a good amount of time residing in houses right on Malibu Beach. A great place to be and live. I used to love to sit out on the balcony of one particular place on Sunday mornings and drive coffee and write and watch the beach come alive slowly. The first and ever-present people where those walking their dogs. Then you had the walkers and joggers. Soon families started showing up and the shoreline became a construction site of various sand castles and holes and sand formations. Then the families hit the beach in full-force and people where playing music, all kinds of games, eating, sun bathing, swimming, surfing (or trying to), body surfing, watching the dolphins....you name it. Then the sun started to set and people started packing it in and the beach went back to being quiet populated by those walking, jogging and dog walking. Such a wonderful sight and cycle to sit and watch.
