I was pregnant with twins and living in Chicago while my husband was stationed in Haiti. Our relationship began long distance and here we were, 10 years later, living apart again. I moved to Haiti once the babies were 3 months old and I performed this song regularly with Haitian musicians. They recorded the drums, percussion and bass parts on this recording.
