Lyrics

Why Am I Always The One Who Ends Up With The Blues?
By Cat Lamondt & Tony Ridgway)

Last night was so long,
I thought it would never end
Felt like I`d never see the sun shine again
Another Mr Wrong this foolish heart had to choose;
Why am I always the one who ends up with The Blues?

I thought this time I found him
He wasn`t like the rest
He loved all my Howlin` Wolf records
And he loved me the best
Another Cheater who kept leavin` lies and clues
Now why am I always the one who ends up with The Blues?

Midnight brings the deepest shade of `em all
When the moon gets the loneliest shadow to fall...

Midnight brings the deepest shade of `em all
When the moon gets the loneliest shadow to fall...

If loving the wrong one
Has been my only curse
Then this is my anthem
That I will rehearse
Like a Cinderella without the shoes
And I'll still be the one who ends up getting The Blues
Midnight brings the deepest shade of `em all
When the moon gets the loneliest shadow to fall...

Midnight brings the deepest shade of `em all
When the moon gets the loneliest shadow to fall...

So why am I always the one who ends up with the blues
So why am I always the one who ends up with the blues
So why am I always the one who ends up with the blues

I loved your southern country voice. The song flowed very well and had a great recording that was very clear. It reminded me of the Patsy Cline Country music from back in the day.Very Nice.

Not being a frequent listener of country music, I don't feel in too good of a position to review country music. I do however consider myself a good judge of a song and I really like this song. It drew me in straight away and has a great feel all the way through. Structure seems great and instrumentation adds a backdrop to the vocals perfectly. Chorus is catchy and vocals are delivered well with a great tone.
Great song hope it does well for you, and I definitely hope you don't always ends up with the blues :)

Really nice groove and tune. I like the minor feel of the song. Lovely vocals. I love the Howlin Wolf line and the Cinderella line. Overall great job.

I love the vocals and the recording sounds great - I like the drums as well.

I like the mix. Vocal up front and accurate. The banjo and slide are well leveled into the mix.
Good lyrics and vocal presentation. The backups are really well mixed as well as the subtle vocal effects.
Great guitar/slide work. Very professional.
