The brass section plays a nice melody. I liked it very much. The same applies to the bass, when it plays alone. It is a nice riff. The chorus pleased me, too.
The song resembles 60's/70's britt music. That's fine too.
Didn't understand lyrics, sorry.
Yeah! very cool, very ben folds at first. Creative, the horns are a nice in, recording sounds great.
Didn't know what to think about this one at first. Very original. by the end it had caught me. I like it. Very different, but i could totally see this being a regular radio song. The Horns are odd but really get your attention. nice job.
I like the vocals and your vocal affectations. Kinda remind me slightly of Sufjan Stevens. Very good work.
I would be very interested in hearing other things you have written and recorded!
Interesting song...More pop rock I think with an indie vocal delivery...A bit of beatles-esqe / SGT Pepper horns. I dig it is not the same old stuff - ok I think alternative rock. Wow this tune has some twists and turns...Cosmic outro - descending into the depths or headed out of the stratosphere.
This song is fun and cool in a weird way. Found myself tapping my foot with a creepy smile on my face. Loved the horns.
This song has a hint of the psychedelic Beatles to it ... vocals are precise and harmonies are good! Arrangement is interesting.
I like the quirky style of this song. It has good instrumentation and a catchy hook. I especially like the chorus. It's a nice contrast with the verse and definitely lifts the songs.
Like the changes, Deffinantly an original piece. I do like the way the song changes feels so abruptly. cantches your attention.
I love this track. The way it's crafted, arranged, instrumentation, etc. I'm blown away by the originality and creativity this artist possesses. I can't think of anyone else that this band sounds like either, I hear some mid 1990's Alternative influence but this is a pop song with an incredible hook. Well done sir a 5 star track all the way.
Started tapping my feet instantly! A little Weezer, a little Toad the Wet Sprocket, a little Third Eye Blind. Fun song, kinda weird, but still cool. Like the sound effects at the end. I could see this playing in a commercial or on the radio. "He'll drive you crazy, it's on his way home". Love this line. Very witty!
A Sgt. Pepper flavor. The opening calliope (I think that's what it is) makes me feel like I'm on a merry-go-round. Very nice. Unusual subject matter for a song - the dark places a child's mind can go. And a really nice ending - "You don't have to run and hide - You don't have to fear the things you feared when you were five"
"Sergeant Pepper" and 1967 comes to mind.I like the way you mix styles and genre. This is a clever arrangement and original song, well delivered and very listenable
This is a really strong track. The musical elements are excellent throughout and create a really fun track. It's very original and there is lots of variety on show here. I particularly like the places it all stops abruptly leading into other sections. The vocals are very strong and remind me of Eels. Nice original song.
When this first started i werent sure whether I like it but the longer you listen the more you warm to it. Cleverly done well put together and all round sound.
What a unique song! Well thought out and expertly written. Catchy hook. The theme is dark, but the music itself lightens it up a bit. Usually I don't like special effects put on vocals, but it actually accentuates and enhances the vocal in this case. The soundscape at the end of the song is so creepy. This would definitely appeal to the middle school mind. And you really got inside it well. The lyrics are super-clever. "He'll drive you crazy; it's on his way home." That's a good one. I think this is a useful song, because kids have inner mind struggles and this would help them to know that they are not alone. You can kick Dave out!
Good beat, really like the bass guitar and the drum, good vocals.
Nice foundation and build up; slow at first but nice layering. Tasty little bluesy riffs after the first chorus (which turned out to be a nice "hook-in") to the next progression in the song. Getting the listener to becoming excited about where the song is going is key and you guys did well to influence me to keep listening.
