Lyrics
PEN VS PENCIL
Words and Music By: Pepper & Cash, Copyright Feb. 2006
(Through the voice of a teenaged girl)
I went though every pen in the penholder, not one of them had enough ink for me to write down the words, the thoughts and feelings in my head (heart).
So I found an old pencil, not sharpened, not as sharp as I?d like it to be. But its dull-edge helped me through, to write this letter saying
I love you.
Pen or a pencil, the graphite vs. ink.
One represents today, the other gives me hope that love?s gonna last forever.
When you write down words with a pen the ink is very hard to erase, but it will always exist, like my devotion.
Pen or a pencil, the graphite vs. ink.
One represents today, the other gives me hope that love?s gonna last forever.
I?m thankful for the pencil the eraser that it brings. I wish that I could erase all of my mistakes and start all over again.
There is nothing I will find in this world more important than the love that I feel for you, so I?ve got to find a pen, to etch permanently.
I Love You.
