Story Behind The Song
Based on a scripture in Revelations, Chapter 2 describing the rewards for obedience and the consequences of disobedience.
Song Description
"Forsaken" is a lament to a fall from grace. After hearing the truth and turning away, the singer is left without any hope of redemption. The lyrics which address sin and salvation include metaphors for errors in judgment that result in lost ideals or lost love. The music layers and builds to an intense, inspirational climax.

Lyrics
I wanted to touch the stars in your hand,
But I could never work that hard, or take a stand.
I've fallen down in her garden.
I've fallen down to ground . . . Forsaken.
I wanted to taste the fruit of the tree of life.
I wanted to spend some time with you in paradise.
I've fallen down in her garden.
I've fallen down to ground.
I've fallen down in her garden.
I've, I've, I've fallen down . . . Forsaken.
la ah ah . . . Forsaken
la ah ah
I heard the truth. I turned away.
There's nothing I can do about it.
I heard the truth. I turned away.
There's nothing I can do about it.
It's too late.
I've fallen down in her garden.
I've fallen down to ground.
I've fallen down. I've . . . to the ground
I've fallen down. . . fallen down
. . .and I'm missing you.
