Story Behind The Song
Honestly, I started writing this song when I was in the midst of giving up caffeine! I just kept saying "I need a new vice," somewhat jokingly, but it got me thinking about how many "trade addictions" - overcoming one self-destructive behavior or substance only to pick up another. I just envisioned a Lyndsey Lohan character when I was writing this.
Song Description
This is a song about people with "addictive personalities" -So, the type of people who do things like quit drinking but take up smoking. There seem to be people who always need some kind of self-destructive behavior in their lives.

Lyrics
New Vice
I need a new vice
Twice as nice as the last one
A sure-to-make-the-press one
Don't believe in the good life
I need a new vice
A devious and glam one
A cool and in-demand one
I'll make all of the headlines
Oh and won't we feel better
When we're lost and out of control?
Can't we fly higher
When we find those lowest of lows?
Don't we just love to flaunt our afflictions?
Proclaiming our sins and trading addictions
Tied to an alibi
I need a new vice
I need a new vice
A little bit kinky and dirty
Downright flashy and flirty
Go on now roll the dice
I need a new vice
The sexier the the better
Tragic to a letter
So happily crucified
Repeat Chorus
