Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song shortly after reading Joseph Campbell's, "The Hero with a thousand faces", one of the most profound books i have ever read.
Song Description
This song is based on the concept of the Hero's journey, a story present in the mythologies of almost all cultures in the world, through which the protagonist, by surviving a series of trials, learns to perceive the world beyond his limited ego and reconnect with his body's energies, nature and the infinite.

Lyrics
Take me on forest trails
To a cabin of timber, vines and stone
Where the old man roams
Show me his journey there
Build me a fire in the snow
And warm my bones
Take away my desert home
Send waves and flooding rains
Turn my comfort into pain
And destroy my favourite things
And hold me, hold me again...
Take me in eagles claws
To the misty mountains and I'll go
Through the spiders hole
I'll strike the dragon down
I'll fight the demons and I'll fail
And join their ways
Throw my body to the stones
I will bleed and be reborn
Hold Elixirs in my hand
And the tools of gods of men
And you'll hold me, hold me again...
I'm in the glowing light of nature's source
And though my path remains unknown
It whispers in the wind
Wake me on crystal shores
With powers and pride to seed the fall
As I shine like gold
Then send me the dragon lord
In a temper with tigers and a storm and a baby's bones
Help me trace the force I've known
And sacrifice my foolish goals
I will face the lord of old
With my magic spirit tools
And you'll hold me, hold me again...
