Photograph
by Cathy Block
If I have a photograph what will it tell me?
It will show a memory staring back at me
So I take this photograph and hold it very near
For it shows a face I love, thousand miles from here
In this wonderful life
I hold on to things tight
Never waver losing sight, of the things that matter
And I look at this photograph, and feel so much glader
When I took this photograph on that summer day
I recall she said to me
She'd be back next May
So I keep this photograph and know as days go by
As the seasons turn around, May will bring a smile
Chorus
If I have a photograph what will it tell me?
It will show a memory staring back at me
