Lyrics
Chorus:
I woke up with a hangover in the Waxahachie County Jail!
You know nobody would bring me my bail.
The strory all starts as a younger man... I was out with the boys, a playin' in a band.
We had plenty of brew, whiskey too, and we drank and smoked liked anybodies fool.
But I soon tired of the little boys game, I was lookin' for some action, lookin' for a dame.
That brought me to the back door of Mary Lou's.
CHORUS
Now Mary Lou was the gamin' sort, and all the boys said that "she was a good sport."
And I was hopin' that she would play along.
She came out of her window, later that night, and we went to the woods where the bugs don't bite, and proceeded to discuss the theory of relativity!
Well we got somethin' strait between us that night, and both of us was a feelin' alright, when I rolled on over and I saw her Daddy standin' there.
He was mad to beat hell and I knew why, but first I had to button up my fly...
And THAT's when I realized just who he was!
CHORUS
He was the County Sheriff of that country town, and the next thing I knew he was takin' me down and...
That brought me to the county..
That brought me to the county...
That brought me to the Waxahachie County Jail.
