Quirky

Story Behind The Song

When I was taking jazz theory lessons from John Rosasco (by phone), he gave me a weekly assignment to compose a song using a whole-tone scale. (E.g. C, D, E, F#, G#, B flat, C.) This scale creates a wildly different soundscape. I decided to give the song a jazz-reggae treatment, which I think suits it.

Mostly whole-tone melody above a reggae base.
