Story Behind The Song
The main motivation for this song is being proud of myself for providing a better lifestyle for myself and my family than how I was raised. Which is no disrespect to my parents. What was left for them to build on wasn't the greatest. Breaking the poverty curse was a huge accomplishment for me. Learning lessons about money, the does and don'ts, and the benefits/luxuries that comes with making enough money motivated this song. If life experiences create the best music then I started writing this song after birth.
Song Description
The song starts with Bang giving advice that most people can relate to. Deriving from the phrase " You are the company you keep", Bang puts it in his own words by saying, "I don't hang with broke people no more because that life's contagious". If people in your circle aren't inspired to be better they won't inspire you either.
The first verse showcases a few of Bangs personal accomplishments along with witty wordplay and metaphors. The strong lyrics draws the audience attention before before the high energy hook takes the listeners the rest of the way. Creative echoes, reverb, and adlibs adds to the high energy vibe motivating listeners to get up and get money.
The 2nd verse showcase different variations of flow and wordplay. Bang found a way to rhyme each line with the same sound in a different unique way. All while maintaining quality wordplay and realistic experiences.
