Story Behind The Song
This was inspired by a Norman Mailer novel, hoping to get it played during the closing credits. I hand delivered the recording, only to be sent a note from Norman himself questioning whether I had the right to use his title. He stated, "I think not - I will wait to hear from you." I wrote back, "Titles can't be copyrighted - check with the Library of Congress!"

Lyrics
TOUGH GUYS DON'T DANCE
Tough guys don't dance
They don't wear tight pants
They don't believe in chance
And they don't like romance
Tough guys play rough
They never get enough
They don't know how to make love
Cause they're never finished being tough
And enough ain't enough
That is their stance
To show their stuff
At a crooked glance
Tough guys don't dance
They know when to shove
Even if the Pope bans
They don't take messages from above
Tough guys don't dance
They don't wear tight pants
They don't believe in chance
And they don't like romance
Tough guys play rough
They never get enough
They don't know how to make love
All they do is be tough
And enough ain't enough
That is their stance
To show their stuff
At a crooked glance
Tough guys don't dance
They know when to shove
Even if the Pope bans
They don't take messages from above
