Story Behind The Song
Use to ride a train back and forth between Chicago and the suburbs. There was a girl that got on a few stops later and we always seemed to be looking at each other. However, we really had no reason to ever meet simply because of the differing stops and subsequent seating arrangements.
Song Description
The song attempts to recapture that strange magnetic attraction. The song tempo serves to enhance the general feel of the train. The inclusion of the female voice suggests that the girl may (in fact) have the same feelings and predicament.

Lyrics
Sway side to side as we glide along the rails
Passionate eyes that don't hide the details
You look back at me
As the train whistle whines
But down in your palm
You'll find me in your lifeline
Waiting on the sideline
Why do we play this cat and mouse game everyday
Speaking with eyes 'cuz we don't know what to say
In a city so big, but in the same Milky Way
We melt into crowds as the stars fade away
And oh, for a short while
Apart we're in exhile
Then back thru the turnstile
To look in your eyes
A one hour ride with a girl that has no name
Preoccupied, leans back against the window frame
Slips into dreams as the train gently rocks
Sees me clearly, isn't it a paradox
Somewhat unorthodox
Why do we play this cat and mouse game everyday
Speaking with eyes 'cuz we don't know what to say
In a city so big but in the same Milky Way
We melt into crowds as the stars fade away
And oh, for a short while
Apart we're in exile
Then back thru the turnstile
To look in your eyes.
