Story Behind The Song
I was recording my first solo CD Acoustic Perfume and I had all the guys there set up and we did all the songs we were going to record tracks for. I asked everyone to give me some cool atmosphere... that I had an idea for a song that was like part poetry
Song Description
The mystical journey of life in all its wonder? the path that leads us beyond our programming of what we think is. The ?should?,?never?, ?must?, of a programmed life until we simply ask ?why??. Until we look into our hearts and see what really matters m

Lyrics
Little Shelf
Walking out into soft blue haze
Listening to the beating heart drum
Jamming on a little shelf in my mind
Winds gushing upwards - spinning -
Surrounding me in a spiral of leaves
Turning cycles of time - centuries of evolutions to learn how to:
Get comfortable breath deep spiral into center and then speak
Just when I think I?ve gotten somewhere ?
I find there?s nowhere to go
Thought I heard the wind whisper, ?you never really know?
Get comfortable breath deep spiral into center and then speak
And then sitting right before me - a box curiously there
I pick it up and open it slowly - to see what it has to share
Words come tumbling out of it - as I catch them I see
There?s a poem unraveling - a message at sea...
Celebrate suffering precepts melting away
Leaving lies and bitter sacrifices gone
Enigmatic misuse manipulates sordid needs
And sucks on the weak
Explode sad, ugly boils of hope -
abandon won?t, must, should and never
Dance trust awake remember to:
Get comfortable breath deep spiral into center and then speak
Contemplation extinction of mind ache
Through cool joy loving world watch and being
Walking back in from a soft blue haze
Listening to a beating heart drum
Jamming on a little shelf beyond mind
