Song Description
I first uploaded this song last year, after I had been keeping it to myself, afraid it may be too personal to share. When I eventually played it for a couple of close friends, I was persuaded to go public.
Since then, I have been working on this, more complete arrangement and I hope I have captured what I was trying to do.
I was unsure about general belief in this White Feather phenomenon, but after some internet research, discovered that it is widespread, and I am far from alone. I've really bared my soul with this one, and I expect it to divide opinion among my contacts.

Lyrics
White Feathers (Fall) from Heaven (Words and Music by Alan Gillis)
Verse 1
The bright eyes in your picture follow me around the room
That look you saved for me will never die
It's more than just a photograph, more than just a smile
Our love will live forever in your eyes
Verse 2
Your picture seems to talk to me, I talk right back to you
I feel you here in every breath I take
So many crying days, too many lonely nights
Wish I could hold you in my arms again
Bridge 1
They say I need more time, the pain will ease, the tears will dry
But time won't stop me missing my best friend
Living with the memories, the dreams we had, the plans we made
Love that knows no end - waiting for the messages you send
Chorus
White feathers fall from heaven, telling me you're still around
They let me know you're watching over me
White feathers fall from heaven when you know I'm really down
White feathers fall from heaven
White feathers fall from heaven to the ground
Solo
Bridge 2
I save the Angels' feathers in a box beside your photograph
A trinket box I gave you long ago
A message on the lid tells you each day's a new love story
Greater than before - Tomorrow I will love you even more
Chorus variation
White feathers fall from heaven telling me you're still around
They let me you're watching over me
White feathers fall from heaven when you know I'm really down
White feathers fall from heaven
I know they come from heaven
White feathers fall from heaven to the ground
