Song Description
My co-writer, Michael Lee Collins, threw some money into a bucket at a gas station. The man behind him grabbed his arm, said "thanks," and went on to explain that it was for his little girl with terminal cancer. It was the 29th of June. The little girl died 5 weeks later.

Lyrics
VERSE 1
Voices from the hallway, echoed in my head
The sound of machines filled the room, as you laid in that bed
The nurse would come in to help with the pain
And I would just cry because I couldn't do...
I couldn't do anything
I'd just say...
CHORUS 1
There's 29 angels in heaven to meet you
There's one to hold your hand, and 28 to do what I can't
To do what I can't
VERSE 2
A breeze through the window gently kisses your face
You open your eyes and I know that you're leaving this place
With a quiver in your lip, you whisper it's OK
And I choke back the tears, because I can't do...
I can't do anything
I just say...
CHORUS 2
There's 29 angels in heaven to meet you
There's one to hold your hand, and 28 to do what I can't
I just say...
There's 29 angels in heaven to meet you
One to hold your hand, and 28 to do what I can't
BRIDGE
I prayed that God would take me instead
He said He was gonna let you rest your head
CHORUS 3
With 29 Angels in heaven to meet you
One to hold your hand and 28 to do what I can't
There's 29 angels in heaven to meet you
Yeah, there's one to hold your hand and 28 to do what I can't
29 Angels
