Story Behind The Song
The chorus line, "right under your nose," came to me out of 'nowhere' just when I was drifting off to asleep. As soon as I was aware of the tune and the words, I sang it into my voice recorder so that I would remember it in the morning. In the following days, I had pretty much 'written' a good portion of the song in my head and recorded little bits into my voice recorder as they would come to me. Then I lost the voice recorder with my song bits and a whole lot of other precious stuff. I kinda panicked, thinking that someone might find my song and 'write' it themselves
. . . steal it! This bothered me so much, that my rather paranoid thoughts pushed me to finish the song, record a good demo of it, write a lead sheet, and register it with the Library of Congress. Here it is!
