Lyrics
Tough Dog
I was born in the country, loved to play around, one day an older boy pushed my sister to the ground.
He was twice my size but I jumped up on his back. I took a rock out of my pocket and I gave his head a crack.
well his momma called my momma and she began to shout, my momma started cryin said "whats this all about" then I hear her say ... "but he's only four"
Daddy said: "thats gonna be one tough dog to keep on the porch"
chorus:
Well I've got a heart of gold, I was born to run, I like chasin skirts but I am loyal as they come, I'm far from perfect, but I could have been worse. I'm just one tough dog, to keep on the porch
Well high school was easy till the coach put me in his sights, he said "if you wern't a student boy I would whip you in a fight" I said "I just dropped out" then I dropped him to the floor...I'm just one tough dog... to keep on the porch
(chorus)
well don't get me wrong don't misunderstand, I might be a little crazy but I'm not a bad man,
I do my best by the rules, bit I won't ever be nobodies fool,
another saturday night nothin much to do, we took my truck out on the highway man that v8 really flew, ...... the judge heasked my lawyer "do you have any words for the court? " He said "my clients a tough dog, to keep on the porch"
(chorus)
