Story Behind The Song
This song was written by Renzo Rosso, an old scholar and amateur composer, in collaboration with Fabrizio Lentini. Children of a Lesser River is a duo consisting of myself and Fabrizio and other musicians who performed the song here. Our age prevents us from performing in public. The purpose of the current performance is to showcase our song to those who want to include it in their repertoire. Score and arrangement are available without charge in DAW format.

Lyrics
New York nights,
I'll never forget those chilly nights.
I'll never regret for so cozy was the warmth of your smile.
I took a flight after my last show
to break the gloom that blanked the rainbow
whence I would dive the deep sea of our love.
You are the winner, 'cause I must quit my habit
of callous womanizer who seeks for just one night stands.
I'm not the loser,
lost somewhere in nostalgia,
for you're the honey
that's healing my sadness to be a
stray mutt in New York.
I had the dream to gain your love so
I moved downtown to gaze the skyscrapers
where I would climb the tower of your love.
You are the winner (un po' d'amore), 'cause I must quit my practice
of acting as Italians who only seek adventures.
I'm not the loser (un po' d'amore),
lost somewhere in the subway,
for you're the honey
that makes me feel so fine, no more a
stray mutt in New York.
You showed the skyline.... so I'm no more blind.
No more the stray dog, lost somewhere in New York streets,
for you're the honey
that makes me feel so fine to live
in New York City.
I feel fine in New York City
I feel great in New York City!
