Song Description
Ten years ago, Wilner was begging for food and change on the streets of Port au Prince Haiti. He was one of thousands who live day by day in a unchanging harsh environment. Today, he runs his own make-shift orphanage located the upper hill of Port au Prince. His wish is to build a shelter for his orphans and bring more kids from the streets. His hopes, dream and faith are captured in this documentary

Lyrics
Verse 1
10 years ago i can still remember
walking the port au prince haiti streets
begging for pennies
just to buy something to eat
Chorus
that was then this is now
I believe i can make a difference some how
change there lives
helping them to survive
get them of the streets
Give them shelter and warmth
away from the beats
A place to call home
verse 2
it was cold, there was no were to sleep
when sitting in a gutter i saw fights
sometimes i got so scared,
i held my quilt tight
Chorus
that was then this is now
I believe i can make a difference some how
change there lives
helping them to survive
get them of the streets
Give them shelter and warmth
away from the beats
A place to call home
Verse 3
i had no mother no father
no one to help me
no brother or sister
I had no friends or family
Chorus
that was then this is now
I believe i can make a difference some how
change there lives
helping them to survive
get them of the streets
Give them shelter and warmth
away from the beats
A place to call home
