Lyrics

I ask you
You answer me
That's the way
Life supposed to be
It's so funny
How did you know?
When I talk
You're quick to go

I've got your photograph of what it means
To be unclean, to be unseen
I was blind, I could not see
Until the light come over me

I shed my dreams
I break my back
To give you somethin'
That you lack
I'm done with tryin'
I'm done with pain
I'm goin' back
On the southbound train

I've got your photograph of what it means
To be unclean, to be unseen
I was blind, I could not see
Until the light come over me

So here I am
No big deal
I'll be gone
I can heal
Just one thing
Left to say
My mind's set
I just can't stay

immediately sets a mood-- with the slide guitar and rattling of tambourine - the instrumentation is earthy and not "slick" which is appropriate --- the lyrics support the sadness, frustration, and desperation that the music evokes... this could support a tv/movie scene where breakup or devastating relationship issues are the topic... well done in transferring emotion

Sounds like it could be the soundtrack for a 60's movie!

Moody and introspective country blues bordering on depressing, but in a good way. Can't really say exactly who it reminds me of but it could a number of English style folk/alt/rock artists.

Great feeling to this track......real muddy blues feel....and great guitar....
