You and Me was a personal challenge to write a follow-up to Somebody Somebody and was written, taken into the studio and recorded within a month of writing it.
Song Description
You and Me is an expression of love and the connection between two individuals.It reflects on someone telling their heart that they were done with the individual, but they weren't sure if they believed it. The person they love reassures them. They open up their heart, expressing vulnerability and hope that it won't be broken. It emphasizes the mutual belonging between them, stating that their hearts belong to each other. It speaks of the unfolding of new feelings and the journey of love that may take time. I believe that love is grand and not always what I planned.
