Story Behind The Song
I love Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew. They were the original kings of rock n roll, with countless hits. By all accounts Fats was a lovely, mild mannered person. And to some extent that works against him in the public consciousness. We lionize Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee and other more flamboyant personalities. But Fats was the real deal, and deserves to be remembered in the conversation of the founding fathers of rock n roll. I love his music, and this is my song of gratitude and praise.
Song Description
My tribute to Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew. And hoping in some small way to give them their due as the founding fathers of rock n roll. Hoping to keep them in the public consciousness.

Lyrics
I've seen biographies on Chuck Berry
Little Richard and Jerry Lee
Cash and country, Elvis too
But only one man's music got this groove
I need his music and I need it bad
Put it on, you can't feel sad
Ooh baby, oohe
Fats' got the music that heals me
Play Fats' music, play Fats' music
All my tiredness has gone a way
Feel good music, New Orleans music
And we're dancing the night away
Don't forget about Fats
Don't let nice guys finish last
The Beatles and the King, they walked in his tracks
So don't forget about Fats
Dave Bartholomew's got news for you
Healing music, built to last
Sing his songs till the day that I'm gone
Don't forget about Fats
I love Fats' music, play Fats' music
All my tiredness has gone away
Feel good music, New Orleans music
And we're dancing the night away
Don't forget about Fats
Don't let nice guys finish last
The Beatles and the King, they walked in his tracks
So don't forget about Fats
Dave Bartholomew's got grooves for you
Healing music, built to last
Sing his songs till the day that I'm gone
Don't forget about Fats
Sing his songs till the day that I'm gone
Don't forget about Fats
