Story Behind The Song
"Why won't you leave my head" was something Megan Trainor said to a song writer in Songland. That stuck and I wrote a song based on the phrase.
Song Description
A love triangle where two women are involved with one man. At least one of the women are aware of the other one and is frustrated by the situation. However, the heart wants what the heart wants.

Lyrics
There go your tail lights
burning red in the dead of night
Sneaking off like the thief you are
stealing hearts and leaving scars
doesn't matter what I say
you touch my hair then drive away
comes again that familiar pain
only have myself to blame
You Leave, leave me wanting more
leave a mark when you walk out the door
leave the key back under the mat
leave in time for the second act
leave, me lying in my bed
leave me hanging by a thread
if leaving's what you do best then
why won't you leave my head
She sees your headlights
pulling in at the break of light
a new girl but the same old lie
a dark truth (horse) hiding in your eyes
can she smell my cologne
Does she know she's not alone?
Is her kiss any sweeter than mine
Can she make you stay this time?
Oh Leave. leave her wanting more
leave a mark when you walk out the door
leave the key back under the mat
leave in time for the second act
leave, her lying in her bed
leave her hanging by a thread
if leaving's what you do best
then why can't you leave my head
Why won't you leave my head, my head.
