Story Behind The Song
My little hound dog, Junior, never met a person he didn't want to personally inform of their greatness in his eyes. I marvel at him and had to write this song in honor of such a loving heart.

Lyrics
More Like My Dog
© 2004 Martha Ann Brooks (BMI)
I wish I was more like my dog
He loves everybody he meets
He gives each one a great big ol? Hound Dog hello
A wag of his tail and a big kiss to go
He seems to know something that I just don?t know
Guess I?m kinda slow
I wish I was more like my dog, Y?All
I wish I was more like my dog.
I wish I was more like my dog.
He starts each day off with a smile
He?s ready to run and he?s ready to play
Or just laysit around and catch sunbeams all day
Whatever we?re doin?, he thinks that it?s okay
Okay
I wish I was more like my dog, Y?All,
I Wish I was more like my dog.
I wish I was more like my dog
I think Jesus spoke straight to his heart
The Lord said we should love all everybodythat we meet
Not just our friends, but the bum in on the street
Well, mMy dog has got it and thinks that it?s real neat
To Love Everyone, Even the Bum
I wish I was more like my dog, Y?all,
Yeah, I wish I was more like my dog.
