Lyrics
I?D LOVE YOU MORE
© 2004 Martha Ann Brooks (BMI)
God knows that I?m a sinner
And He knows that you?re no saint
He knows exactly who we are
And He knows just what we ain?t
God knows I?d walk through fire for you
And that you would do the same
He knows I?d do it all again
And I wouldn?t change a thing
Chorus:
But I would love you more
Complain less
About the clothes on the floor
And how you made a mess
I?d smile at those little things you do
That I thought were problems before
And, Baby, I?d love you more
God knows we?ve had it easy
Compared to some folks that we know
He knows there?s been a time or two
That our row was tough to hoe
God knows I?ve tried to be your rock
And how you?ve made my dreams come true
He knows when it comes down to you
There is nothing I wouldn?t do
(Repeat Chorus)
Bridge:
There?s not a soul that?s promised tomorrow
There?s not a night that brings assurance of the dawn
Life is short
And I?m so glad to be with you
I?m gonna show you just how I feel
From now on
Chorus:
I?m gonna love you more
Complain less
About those clothes on the floor
And how you made a mess
I?ll smile at those little things you do
I might have thought were problems before
And, Baby, I?ll love you more
Oh yes, Baby, I?ll love you more
