Story Behind The Song
I was feeling sort of depressed one day and put myself in this situation. Then I wrote myself out of it. It was a cloudy dau and I thought about the clouds rolling across the Texas skies. It came to me very fast and I finished it when i got home with ny guitar. We had fun recording it too. I wanted that train sound going down the tracks during the chorus. It reminded me of a Jognny Cash or Waylon type song. It starts my album off well I thought.

Lyrics
"Just Once More" by Lou Derr
copyright 1990 Luder Music BMI
Verse1
Everytime I hear that train go by, rollin down the tracks like the hills roll across that Texas sky.
It reminds me of a time when love was the one thing on my mind.
wha wha wha
That love was you.
That love is true.
Verse 2
You were strong minded, you knew what you wanted. You couldnt stay in this small honky tonk town anymore.
So you packed up a suitcase and headed for the station and you were gone.
wha,wha,wha.
My love was gone, long gone.
(Chorus)
Everytime I hear that whistle blowing down the track, I wonder if it's ever going to bring my baby back..Just Once More.
(instrumental)
Verse 3
Youe wrote a few love letters telling me how much you loved and missed me so...but I don't know.
You said the big city had so many opportunities for you.
wha,wha,wha.
I miss you too.
Darlin I Love you.
(Repeat Chorus)
Verse 4
And everynight I hear that train go by.
and I roll over and I wait, hoping you'll come walking through the door.
So we can love... Just once more.
So we can love, Darlin just once more...
(Instrumental end)
