Sounds as though this recording might work well as the soundtrack for a holiday movie like Home Alone.
Love this stuff! How can a holiday song take you all around the world in under three minutes. Interesting instrumentation, fun builds and breaks, and just the right stuff to keep things interesting and super fun.
This plays on all bells and whistles. It is a lot of fun, full of innovative use of old sounds and well known melodies, and I can't count how many different instruments, from real to some found in the kitchen I think. I am ever so slightly put off by the 'false' rendering of well known melodies - the atonal Jingle bells, etc, But that is a matter of taste. This a a jolly piece of Christmas music.
