In the Garden

Story Behind The Song

This is one of the Phillips family's favorite songs, and, especially a favorite of our grandmother, Alice Coble Maurer. When asked which hymn he wanted to record with me, my brother, Mark, immediately called dibs on this one (he's so competitive!). We sing it in unison although, when the family is together, almost noone takes the melody since we each believe we are the master of harmony.
