Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song on a nylon string guitar. I first played in a slow 4/4 with just two guitars. But the I felt the song had more to say. When I sped up the tempo I feel it added a sense of urgency and irony. There is a balance between the sadness of the lyrics and the movement the music implies.
Song Description
Mid-tempo, late '70s/early '80s Fleetwood Mac-influenced track with upbeat instrumentation and emotionally layered vocals. Sad lyrics are paired with bright melodies, creating an accessible, reflective mood that works for montage, narrative, or lifestyle sync placements.

Lyrics
I don't know how
I'm the one you hate the most
When I was the one who loved you more
When you welcomed me with smiles at your door
All the love and care
All the time we shared
I was the one who loved you most
But now I've fallen through your arms like a ghost
And I don't know how
I'm the one who hurt you the worst
When it's the last thing I ever wanted to do
When I've planned my whole life around me and you
And don't it make you sad
For this to turn out bad
When you were the one who loved me most
But now I've vanished from your life like a ghost
I dont know why
I was thinking everything was fine
we walked away with just a goodbye
and losing you was the last thing on my mind
and how it all went down
it doesnt matter now
but this isnt the way I would have chose
now I'm drifting through this life like a ghost
drifting through this life like a ghost
just like a ghost
look at me
you see right through
I must be wearing thin
