Story Behind The Song
A friend of mine lost her mom and never seemed to shed a tear. I wrote this song to give her permission to cry and grieve the loss. She told me she didn't cry because her mom was her best friend & they left nothing unsaid.
Song Description
This song gives people permission to cry out the pain from a loss of a loved one. It is meant to console and remind us that God understands our pain (He lost His son too).

Lyrics
It's O.K. If You Cry
It's o.k. if you cry - it helps wash away the pain
It hurts less by-and-by 'til mem'ries bring it back again -
..then - it's o.k. if you cry - summer flowers need the rain
Nature runs its course (my friend) - things will work out in the end
I know you're full of so much pain - it/s only natural
Only time can heal your wounds - so give it all to Him
For he loves you like a child - and His arms are open wide
He's always waiting there - for you - always by your side!
It's o.k. if you cry - it helps wash away the pain
It hurts less by-and-by 'til mem'ries bring it back again -
..then - it's o.k. if you cry - summer flowers need the rain
Nature runs its course (my friend) - all things work out in the end
The pain will never go away - but, it won?t be so intense
Just take it day-by-day, my friend, I know you?ve got the strength
For he loves you like a child - and His arms are open wide
He's always waiting there - for you - always by your side!
It's o.k. if you cry - it helps wash away the pain
It hurts less by-and-by 'til mem'ries bring it back again -
..then - it's o.k. if you cry - summer flowers need the rain
Nature runs its course (my friend) - things will work out in the end
Yes, nature runs its course my friend - all things work out in the end
