Story Behind The Song
Rod and I initially thought it would be fun to compose some songs in odd time signatures. This is the first of three tunes we wound up writing and recording last summer. The lyrics are inspired, unsurprisingly, by that analytical part of my brain that overthinks and stresses about everything. I'm always trying to process and express my feelings in a better way than just them all coming out at once. Keeping it all in is just not one of my strong suits, but I'm working on it.
Song Description
This is an unconventional alt pop song, almost prog rock sounding in it's composition due to an odd 7/4 time signature. Lyrically it's about concepts of life, regret, and the ways to express feelings of restless and anger.

Lyrics
Last page of the story you've read ten thousand times
Past rage in a hurry to ease a weary mind
When will you learn
This world still turns
To feel to hurt
When will you learn
First breath in the daylight it's all like before
Just guessing it's not right til I come up short
Last look in the rearview could be at a glance
Most people never dream of a second chance
When will you learn
This world still turns
To feel to hurt
When will you learn
Who wants to borrow
Troubles for tomorrow
When will you learn
This world still turns
To feel to hurt
When will you learn
