Elevation Zero

Story Behind The Song

Elevation Zero He tried to open one eye and couldn't do it. Was he dead? There were voices. They made him uneasy. His brain seemed to turn on, then off. Memories were shrouded in a mist that would not fade. This last trip did it. Something finally shattered and he lie broken in the space where the moon and stars collide. He was able to put together one thought. The game was over. He lost - it won. If he got another chance he would do things right. He didn't want forgiveness, he could only imagine how tough this had all been on everyone around him. He just had nowhere left to run. This was the lowest he had ever been. How quickly he went from being on top of the world to Elevation Zero. His life had seen no light in a long time. The garden of his soul got no sun. But he was ready to battle back. His heart was new. The moonlight had weakened.

Lyrics

Between the time when the moonlight weakens
And the mist will fade
Whispered voices making me uneasy
Can't hear what they say

Trippin' mellow til I caught you creepin'
Brought it back too soon
Something shattered and my heart lay broken
I see now, what you plan to do

What you plan to do

In the space where the moon and stars collide
Grab my things I'm coming along for the ride
Scanning the horizon and I know that it's OK
If I come back even though I left this place

My elevation's zero
Got no place to run
I'm necessarily evil
Garden gets no sun

I light my way with a roman candle
My attitude is sometimes hard to handle
No skin from me I don't want forgiveness
If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be back in this

My elevation's zero
Got no place to run
I'm necessarily evil
Garden gets no sun

If I chance to walk that line
No telling what will come
My Elevation's Zero
Garden gets no sun

In the end, the anger can't subside
Tried my best, but I did not win this fight
Have my heart and courage remain strong
We'll meet again as the battle rages on

My elevation's zero
Got no place to run
I'm necessarily evil
Garden gets no sun

If I chance to walk that line
No telling what will come
My Elevation's Zero
Garden gets no sun

Garden gets no sun Garden gets no sun
Garden gets no sun Garden gets no sun
