I wrote this song after leaving my childhood religious cult. It was a difficult time, and I found release in writing this song that expressed my personal freedom from harmful dogma and indoctrination.

Lyrics
So many trials and troubles
on the face of those I meet
I'm keeping a watchful eye on every lost sheep
Still I fix my gaze on heaven
For the prize that I will win
The good Lord knows I've paid my dues
To wash away my sin
Hallelujah, I have risen from my sleep
Washed in the water of my own kitchen sink
Thank God above for all that I don't know
Love is enough, for the Bible tells me so
Then I found the straight and narrow in the fall of 2010
Save by the information and who I was back then
Now the waters of Jordan
Have swept my chains away
Heaven be kind to all us doubters we pray
Hallelujah, I have risen from my sleep
Washed in the water of my own kitchen sink
Thank God above for all that I don't know
Love is enough, for the Bible tells me so
Ooo, ahh
In this world of tribulation
Seek and ye shall find
Go to the mountain tell him all the lambs are blind
I hope angels are watching
The day I fly away
Caught up to glory
Peter, can you clear my name?
Hallelujah, I have risen from my sleep
Washed in the water of my own kitchen sink
Thank God above for all that I don't know
Love is enough, for the Bible tells me so
