Staring out of your flat window, you gaze at the Tokyo Tower, a fitting--yet unfulfilling--replica of the Eiffel Tower. It looks the same. But you know in your heart it's different.
Umbrellas pass through the streets below like black miniature orbs, dodging artifacts of traffic in the Shiba-koen district of Minato, Tokyo. The scene is showered with silvery rain. It clears the gray smog that blanketed the area only moments ago. But the wash does little to cleanse your mind of memories of home.
