David Weiss is co-founder of

He is also co-author of the book Music Supervision: The Complete Guide to Selecting and Licensing Music & Sound Design for Media, (Schirmer Trade Books, 2005) and co-manages its sister site,

An internationally published freelance journalist, he was the NYC editor of Mix magazine from 2003-2010, and his work has appeared regularly in publications such as Drum!, Time Out NY and Remix. He also maintains a corporate writing/communications strategy consultancy at

www.editorschoicemusic.com, and his sound effects and samples have been incorporated for live event use at Madison Square Garden.
He also founded
www.meetyourbeat.com, a provider of loops and one-shots, which produced MYBVolume 1, 2 & 3 with Jamaican percussion legend Larry McDonald and "Emeril Live" bandleader Doc Gibbs.
David graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Communications (1994), and lives in Manhattan.
